The Alberta Forest Products Association is committed to providing high-quality Health and Safety and Lumber Grading training opportunities.

AFPA training materials offer resources for members, member contractors, and individuals who wish to learn more in these areas. The AFPA offers a variety of training options including classroom instruction, online training, printable documents, and CD-ROMs.

Online Training

1. Alberta Forest Products Association H&S Available Online Training
Select from Incident Investigation, Hazard Assessment, and OH&S Legislation sessions.

2. Pulp & Paper Mill Safety Orientations Online Training

3. Corrective Action Report (CAR) Online Training
Employers who meet the requirements for use of the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process may request to use CAR to maintain their Certificate of Recognition.  The auditor who undertakes the process must successfully complete this training before proceeding. 

4. Pre-Job Process (PJP) Online Training
All employers who are using the Pre-Job Process (PJP) are encouraged to utilize this short on-line training package.

5. Tending Worker (TWT) Online Training
Anyone hired as a Tending Worker will be required to complete this training and present the resulting certificate card to the host mill before starting work.
